Action Movies - How it has evolved over the years

The world of cinema started with movies representing social issues and values. Soon with the popularity of cinema, new genres were introduced and it’s not incorrect to say that audience accepted all these genres be it comedy, Horror, or Action movies. One of the most popular genres that have evolved in Bollywood since the ’80s in Bollywood Is Action. Diverting from the usual family-packed movies, Action movies rapidly caught pace and people started loving them.

Over the past few decades, Action films have become one of the favorite plots for investors and filmmakers to invest their fortune and time. In earlier times, action movies had a similar plotline where the protagonist and the antagonist would have some issues between them and they’d fight, the fight sequences were delicately mixed with some sad plots but over time things have changed, now the action is not only about fight scenes or jumping through roofs now Action films are about larger than life characters, High-End VFX, complex storyline’s and special effects such as car explosions and engaging fighting sequences and these scenes are packed with the brilliance of creative minds and technology such as slow-motion scenes, close up scenes, great sound effects which makes the viewer feel that they are also a part of the movie.

The science behind the popularity of action movies is the sense of escapism people get while watching these movies. In our daily majority, people do a monotonous work which over the time doesn’t give us the excitement but Whenever a person watches a movie he feels that he is traveling with the hero, the same pain, same happiness, same excitement and he becomes one with him in his imagination. Through that movie, he gets adrenaline and thrill which usually gets missed out in daily life. After the end of the movie, it’s inevitable that we think about doing something similar, it’s not a surprise if a kid wants to join Army after watching an action movie based on Arms operations.

While action movies are great to watch, there’s always a scope of care. Some movies can include hazardous actions which are performed safely but children sometimes try them and get injured which needs to be taken care of. Parents should always draw an imaginary line between the real sense and movies. This will not only make them enjoy the movie but will also keep them safe. With the increase in the popularity of action movies, some big stars and big movies have been surfaced and continue with the series such as Fast & Furious and some with a flavor of sci-fi-like DC and Marvel. The action movies would be with us for a very long time and would definitely keep giving us the excitement and thrill.
